Closing FY’13 at Rs 900 crores, Van Heusen the premium lifestyle brand for men and women is now focusing on increasing the store count of its Van Heusen Woman offerings and sports apparel. With a rich heritage of 128 years, the brand entered India in 1990.

It has had the unique distinction of establishing not only the brand, but also the ready-to-wear category in India. Over the last 22 years of its existence in India, Van Heusen has been making workplace more fashionable. It has consistently been ahead of the curve in understanding the evolving fashion needs of Indian professionals and making it accessible to the consumer.

operates in India under license from Phillips Van Heusen, USA. The brand covers all aspects of an individual's clothing needs, be it corporate wear, casual wear, party wear or ceremonial wear, making it a complete lifestyle brand in the true sense. Its sub-brand V Dot has a high fashion quotient and is aimed at trendy young professionals who believe in working hard and partying harder. From a small presence in men's ties and belts, the company’s non-apparel business has also grown. It plans to ramp up its presence in belts and ties, women's shoes and bags.


Offerings for A/W ’13

The brand offers formal dresss, skirts, blazers, trousers, blouses and shirts in the western formals wear space for women. Recently it has added trench coats as a category. “In addition, we have exquisite dresses for every occasion, be it a brunch or an evening out with friends. We also do a small amount of outer wear jackets as well,” he says.

For autumn/winter 2013, Van Heusen is taking forward its ‘Limited Edition’ collection which was launched in SS’13. “This will be our key talking point as we take this collection to the next level in AW’13,” states Bhopatkar.
