Jaipur-based Yufta has raised an undisclosed amount of Pre Series A Funding from Rajasthan Angel Investor Network founder members Ajay Datta and other high net individuals. The funds will be used to build technology and scale up its operations in top metro cities.

Yufta was founded in 2014 by Ritesh Khandelwal, Ravi Khandelwal and Tarun Sharma. The hyperlocal fashion retail platform provides a stylist experience by curating major fashion trends for women with aggregation of local fashion stores. The e-tailer blends the virtual and real world shopping experience and provides users a chance to select what to buy online and at the same time retaining the real shopping experience by going to the store and trying it before buying. Yufta has 10 stores in Jaipur. In the coming months the team is aiming to have a network of 50 stores across Jaipur.

CEO and co-founder Ritesh Khandelwal believes that at Yufta basic e-commerce hurdles are being solved by combining technology and operation in efficient manner in an omni-channel model. Also, he strongly believes in growing big by complementing offline rather than competing with offline.

Since the beginning of its operations a year and half back, the start-up has shipped more than 1 lakh units. Presently, it ships more than 300 units per day.
