Shoe, apparel and adventure gear brand Woodland aims to invest Rs 100 crores on expanding retail and diversification and manufacturing. With revenue of over Rs 1,200 crores reported last year through over 500 stores, the company now aims to achieve a revenue target of over Rs 1,500-crores this fiscal year.

The company recently forayed into eyewear category with the launch of 10 outdoor glasses starting with the price tag Rs 4,000. To begin with, the range would be retailed at its flagship stores in metros, which would later be introduced in other cities. The target is to sell around 10,000 units from this summer season.

Depending on consumer response, Woodland would add more models to the category. These products are only meant for outdoors and would have UV protection glass and interchangeable lenses with three modes, which could be set in according to different geographical regions. At present, Woodland is importing eyewear frames from Taiwan.
