Flipkart unveils 'Flipkart Fashion Files'

E-commerce major Flipkart has launched the 'Flipkart Fashion Files'. This is an exclusive lifestyle content page on its platform. The company has partnered the Conde Nast Group to co-create high quality fashion content for its customers. The initiative will see the platform host a range of exclusive fashion diva/celebrity interviews, trend boards, brand and product stories along with lifestyle articles.

Flipkart recently managed to raise another 500-600 million dollars (over Rs 3,093 to Rs 3,711 crores) funding led by its existing large investors at a massive pre-money valuation of 10 billion dollars (over Rs 61,860 crores), to strengthen its operations and combat Amazon and Snapdeal.

According to industry insiders, the platform would now look at launching a wider range of lifestyle products and consumer durables through in-house labels. It already has its range of tablets and digital accessories from Digiflip, apparel under Flippd and home appliances and personal healthcare products such as sandwich makers and hair dryers from Citron.
