Raymond unveils Spring/Summer collection created with merino

Worsted suiting material specialist Raymond, who has been collaborating with The Woolmark Company to promote Spring/Summer collection created using merino wool, has launched its latest range. A spectacular fashion show was organized at the Australian High Commission in New Delhi to showcase the new line.

The Woolmark Company has been taking initiatives and partnering domestic players to spread awareness about wool as an all-weather fabric in India. During the fashion show, Raymond showcased a summer-friendly collection of formal and occasion wear premium fabrics, designed by leading names like Rajesh Pratap Singh, Timothy and Suket Dhir, titled ‘Cool Wool’. The collection includes innovative lines of linen wool silk blends and wool silk fabrics, including wool silk, super 180s, super 150s, super 130s and super 120s, which are now made available at select Raymond outlets across the country.

Textiles enjoy almost 44 percent share of Raymond's revenues, followed by branded apparel and denim. The company, which opened its first retail shop in 1958, plans to add 150 more in FY15.
