Footwear brand Crocs is looking at doubling its India business in three years. It will do this by widening its product portfolio and increasing its geographic expansion. US-based Crocs is growing at over 35 per cent year-on-year. Its core offering is beachwear but plans to expand to a pure casual footwear brand. Over four or five years, Crocs wants to be a larger player in the casual footwear category and capture a 10 per cent market share. The company sold 1.5 million pairs in India last year.

Crocs footwear is crafted from synthetic fiber Croslite and is lightweight and flexible. Croslite is a material that makes each pair soft, comfortable, lightweight and odor-resistant. At present, Crocs India has 1,000 points of sale including over 35 exclusive stores. The plan is to open 50 standalone stores this calendar year especially in the east and north-east. /

Crocs, founded in 2002, operates in over 90 countries around the world and offers casual footwear for men, women and children. Crocs also retails clogs, sandals, boots, flip flops, flats, sneakers and slippers. The brand offers several distinct shoe collections with more than 300 four-season footwear styles. One particular style has a gray-and-white marble print embellished with bulbous glittery stones. The stones include malachite and druzies.
