Flipkart to add almost 10,000 new sellers around Diwali

Leading online player Flipkart is looking at adding as many as 10,000 new sellers on its platform around the forthcoming festival season. The sellers are expected to take advantage of the 'Turbo Charge' programme that offers a range of services and a 30-day trial period to establish online presence.

Most online marketplace offer services such as listing and backend support, operations and account management support, ad credits, and end-to-end services through its partners or full service agencies (FSAs), worth over Rs 10,000 for free. Experts feel that this new program can help Flipkart increase its product offerings during the Diwali season as well as its second Big Billion Day sale event to be held from October 13-17, 2015.

Under Turbo Charge, Flipkart's FSA partners will provide a complete support to its sellers with services like planning their business growth in an efficient manner, while managing their complete online sales. The FSAs include Browntape, ChikiWeb, Onio, 99 yrs, Blubox and Seller Worx.

At present, Flipkart has around 40,000 active sellers on its platform and it is looking at a number of one lakh sellers by the end of this financial year.
