Home Centre is the leading retailer of furniture and home-wares in the region. Occupying more than 2.89 million sq. ft. of retail space, Home Centre currently has 12 shops in the UAE and boasts of 71 stores across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region and the Indian subcontinent. The company, part of the Landmark Group, plans to add another 17 stores this year in four countries in 2011. Nearly 11 of these are planned for India, four in Saudi Arabia, one in the UAE and another in Lebanon.

Home Centre, which revealed its revamped brand identity in March 2010, has started the process of deploying the new look across its retail network in the Gulf countries. Progressing in a phased approach, its stores across Kuwait and Saudi Arabia have recently been revamped to reflect the new brand aesthetics. And Jonathan Jagtiani, CEO, Home Centre, says conceptualized in the UAE over 15 years ago, Home Centre aims to fill the gap that existed in the home furnishing and décor space.

Meanwhile Home Centre has recently been awarded the Superbrand Status for 2010 across two key markets in the Middle East: UAE and Kuwait. The firm has always been responsible towards the environment and the society it operates in. Recently it had taken some initiatives to raise funds for the Dubai Autism Center to help children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Green Initiatives by Home Centre has been to reduce usage of plastic shopping bags and replace them with recyclable paper bags.
