Delhi hosts Benetton’s concept store

In sync with Benetton’s concept outlets across major

European cities, including Milan, Paris, London, Frankfurt and Istanbul, the brand has opened its first such the store in Delhi. It beautifully combines the group’s innovation-driven identity with the vibrant historical elements of the Indian capital. The new store rises through three floors unveiling Benetton’s new spring/summer collection 2011 which includes women’s wear, menswear, kid’s wear and accessories. Sanjeev Mohanty, CEO, Benetton India says, the new store will not only strengthen Benetton’s presence in the market, but also serve as an important communication platform.

Located at Hamilton House in Connaught Place, Delhi the design concept and interiors of the outlet is a first-of-its-kind in Asia. In India, there are 320 Benetton outlets across 66 cities with a turnover of around Rs 800 crores. The Benetton Group has a network of more than 5,500 stores across 120 countries worldwide, and retails brands like United Colors of Benetton (UCB), Sisley, Playlife and Killer Loop. Its core business is fashion apparel. It’s a group with a strong Italian character whose style, quality and passion are clearly seen in its brands. The Group produces over 150 million garments every year. Its network of contemporary stores around the globe offers high quality customer services and generates a total turnover of over 2 billion euro. Established in 1965, Benetton is now controlled by Edizione Srl (a holding company wholly owned by the Benetton Family) with a 67 per cent stake.
