D’damas has expanded its network across south India

by launching its first exclusive store in Hubli. Well-known Kannada actress Daisy Bopanna inaugurated the exclusive D’damas-Wedding & Occasion showroom in the city. Among the attractions of the store is the Vivaaha collection, specially crafted ornaments for the modern Indian bride. The spacious 700 sq. ft. store showcases all the jewelry sub-brands under D’damas -- Lamhe, Vivaaha, Glitterati, Solitaire and Vivaaha Gold. The launch marks a new phase of aggressive expansion in the region, and an exclusive store in Hubli marks a major milestone in adding to the ever increasing footprint of D’damas. It plans to open and operate through 50 exclusive showrooms and adding 400 more retailers across 250 new towns in 2011 in its network. D’damas is known for its trendy and intricately designed diamond jewelry. It operates through three channels – franchisee, distribution outlets and modern retail trade. It is one of the largest and most popular diamond jewelry brands available across India, offering the widest range of categories and price points.

The group sells jewelry and watches through three main distinctive store formats, each of which is tailored to a specific type of customer. Les Exclusive stores, which cater to high net worth consumers through products that include some of the world’s most exclusive luxury brands; semi-exclusive stores, which cater principally to upper-middle income consumers; and Damas 22K stores, which cater mostly to middle income and working class immigrant populations, primarily of South Asian origin, and primarily offer jewelry under the group’s own brands and regional brands.
