Shoppers Stop gets the IFA awards

The India Fashion Awards (IFA) was presented to achievers

in fashion and retail industry. The first set of awards was handed out to the independent regional retailers of India from east, west, north and south. The Most Admired Independent Regional Retailer (East) award was bagged by Sohum from Guwahati. Jade Blue from Ahmedabad won from the west, HI Style from Chennai from south and Ritu Wears won it from the north.

In the Most Admired Large Format National Fashion Retailer of the Year category the competition was tough between nominees Shoppers Stop, Lifestyle, Pantaloons, Reliance Trends and Central. However, the honors went to the five-year-old Central for its outstanding growth, expansion, profitability and branding.
In the category Most Admired Private Label Fashion Retailer of the Year, the winner was Westside which has 90 per cent of all its merchandise as in-house brands and had seen 28 per cent growth in the retail space.
The ‘Benetton IFA Most Admired Retailer of the Decade’ awards went to G&B Fashions, Marda Fashions and Kapsons respectively. Shoppers Stop was declared the winner once again in the Gitanjali IFA Most Admired Large Format Retail Partner of the Year. Finally, the IFA Most Admired Fashion Retail Professional of the Year award was given to Govind Srikhande, CEO, Shoppers Stop.
