Provogue launches EMI scheme

Fashion apparel brand Provogue has tied-up with private sector bank HDFC Bank to launch

a monthly installment scheme for its customers. The move is part of Provogue’s initiative to increase sales. Under the agreement, customers purchasing merchandise of over Rs 1,500 from any Provogue store using HDFC credit card can convert the bill into three equal monthly installments at zero per cent interest. According to Ameet Panchal, Head-Sales at Provogue the concept of a deferred payment structure will further induce sales, while balancing the emotional aspect of spending in the mind of a consumer. The initiative is intended to boost customer spending and purchase.

The company which was incorporated on November 11, 1997 as Acme Clothing Private Limited, launched the fashion brand Provogue in March 1998. Within a short span of seven years, it has established itself as a strong brand in the minds of the urban consumers. It specializes in contemporary clothing and accessories for both men and women. At present it has over 125 stores across the country.
