French Connection has announced the opening of its largest

and alone store at Linking Road, Bandra, spread over 2000 sq. ft. The store supports an edgy yet sleek environment and is spunky yet inviting while maintaining its focus on the clothes. Wooden floors are offset by pure, white walls and a play of direct and indirect lighting complements structural elements of the store. The new store brings in the spring/summer 2010 collection. This collection is all about feminine tailoring in soft nudes contrasted against bold Hawaiian prints and stripes. Women can freely indulge themselves in summer styles with a dash of graphic floral, creating a softer, vintage backdrop.

For men the collection brings sophisticated fashion-forward pieces focusing on quality fabrics, unique detailing and signature design twists. Masculinity is the essence of the collection with stylish and wearable clothes. Mansi Zaveri, Manager Marketing and Communications, points out since its launch in 2007 French Connection has provided the most edgy and fashion-forward styles to the Indian consumer. This is set to be an important season for French Connection with our increasing retail presence supported by the launch of an impactful and intelligent campaign.

This season swimwear has also been added to the collection. Swimwear dictates a strong statement with elements from the past, such as polka dots, floral, bright stripes and Hawaiian imprints that are creating a rage this summer. Founded in 1972 by Stephen Marks, the edgy high-street British fashion brand set out to create well-designed and fashion-forward clothing with a quirky spin on design and has 1,500 outlets across 25 countries.
