Reliance Retail opened its 25th Reliance Trends store in the country at City Centre Mall in Mangalore.

Spread over 13,000 sq. ft. the store offers more than 100 Indian and international brands. Reliance Trends is the apparel, luggage and accessories specialty store. It has a presence in places like Delhi, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Chennai, Vadodara and Amritsar. The large size store format caters to fashion and quality conscious customers. It’s the fastest growing apparel specialty format. The erchandize mix offers interesting solutions. The stores are appealingly designed. Shopper convenience and ease of use is a priority for the chain.

Reliance Trends’ current stores are in malls and it also runs standalone stores in high streets. Its spread is pan-India including stores in Jalandhar, Nasik and Kochi as well as in the large metros. The group plans to continue adding more stores in metros and at the same time look at Tier II-III cities.

According to Arun Sirdeshmukh, CEO, Reliance Trends, this strategy makes sound economic sense. Tier II-III cities offer immense potential. Consumers there have the purchasing power and the inclination to pend and brands which have so far been confined to metros find these towns eager to sample their products.
