Lulu Guinness who have been retailing in India through The Collective stores in Bengalore and Mumbai

since April, was present at the launch of the third flagship store of The Collective in New Delhi. Lulu Guinness is a well-known British accessories fashion designer who has been retailing in India through The Collective stores but this was her first visit to the country. One of its star items is Guinness handbags and purses pegged at Rs 40,000 upwards (including the singing handbag). Her unique creations are sold in department and specialty stores worldwide. Her bags, described as “tomorrow's treasures,” have become permanent fixtures in many museums. Though her creations have become celebrity must-haves, she has never had any formal design training.

The New Delhi store is 17,500 sq. ft. and houses over 100 brands including Armani Jeans, D&G, Hugo Boss, Love Moschino, Alice + Olivia and offers personal shopping and made-to-measure services as well. It caters to the wide space between premium and super-premium from Rs 6,500 for a pair of Armani jeans to Rs 10,000 for a shirt.

The Collective, from the Aditya Birla Group, has flagship stores at Bangalore, Chennai and New Delhi. Apparel at The Collective covers designer, formal, semi formal, casual, denim to active wear. Accessories include fashion watches, cufflinks, shoes, ties, belts, leather products and sunglasses by leading brands. Customised services from leading Indian designers meet the needs of the ceremonial buyer. The Collective, launched by Madura Garments, is the first retail store to offer product care and specialized dry cleaning services to customers.
