Wills Lifestyle aims for 100 stores

With growing pay packets and spending habits of Indian consumers, Wills Lifestyle is planning

to scale up to 100 stores across India by March 31, 2012. Right now there are 70 shops. The Kolkata-based Wills Lifestyle is the clothing retail unit of ITC, Asia’s second-largest cigarette maker by value. Wills Lifestyle’s stores sell clothing by designers including Rohit Bal and Tarun Tahiliani. The expansion was planned long time back but due to bad market conditions, the construction of malls in various cities came to a halt and so did their plans to open stores. But with improved market conditions the plans are being initiated once more.
