The British fashion industry got a jolt today upon confirmation that Burberry is to show for a second time

at London Fashion Week.

Burberry's Creative Director Christopher Bailey on Wednesday said the House would show it's Autumn Winter 2010 collection on the London catwalks, and not in Milan as many had anticipated. In September Burberry returned to LFW as part of its 25th anniversay celebrations, but had not confirmed it would be staying a second season.

Earlier this year Bailey was the latest fashion designer to be honoured by the Queen in her 2009 Birthday Honours list. Yorkshire born Bailey was named a Member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire – or MBE.

As head of the much loved British Heritage brand, Bailey has taken the company from strength to strength during his eight year tenure, producing winning collections that have seen Burberry weather the recession storm, as well as overseeing the design of the impressive new HQs in London and New York and setting up the Burberry Foundation which invests in key youth charities to help Britain’s youth achieve their goals through power and creativity.
