Coimbatore now has Lifestyle

Lifestyle, the medium range department store for apparel, footwear, children’s wear and toys,

household furniture and health and beauty offerings, opened its first store in Coimbatore’s, Brookefield Plaza. Spread over 50,000 sq. ft. the store offers apparel, footwear and accessories. Kabir Lumba, MD, Lifestyle International says they expect about 70 per cent growth in business this financial year from their India operations. That’s not all they expect the turnover to double in two years. Lumba says they will increase the Lifestyle stores to 40, Home Centres to 17 and Max to 100 in two years time.

Dubai-based Landmark Group will invest about Rs 300 crores in India during the next two years to increase the number of Lifestyle, Home Centre and Max stores. In few months, it will start a 25,000 sq. ft. Home Centre in Coimbatore. The Coimbatore Lifestyle store is the third in Tamil Nadu and the 26th in the country. The group also has 12 exclusive Home Centre and seven Splash stores across India. With the addition of Coimbatore Lifestyle store, the group has over 1.1 million sq. ft. of retail space in India.
