Esprit CEO to resign

Due to personal and family reasons, Ronald van der Vis, Executive Director and Group

Chief Executive Officer, Esprit Holdings announced his resignation which according to the contract will be effective on or before 1st July, 2013. The news was confirmed by the board of the company.

The board also said that the company will continue the execution of its transformation plans which was approved in September 2011. Although the board expressed its regrets to Ronald’s resignation, it paid respect to his decision to devote more time to his family and personal life. The company also paid gratitude to Ronald’s valuable contributions to the company during his tenure of service since 2009. Ronald said that it was his own decision to resign and has nothing in disagreement with the board.

Esprit Holdings is a publicly owned manufacturer of apparel, footwear, accessories, jewellery and housewares under the Esprit label. The company is headquartered in Kowloon, Hong Kong, and Ratingen (near Düsseldorf), Germany.
