Inditex FY 2011 net sales rose 10%

The Inditex Group’s net sales (1 February 2011 to 31 January 2012) rose

by 10% in 2011 from 2010 to 13.8 billion euros (US$18.3 billion or Rs 93,659 crores). Net sales increased in all geographic areas (Spain, the rest of Europe, the Americas, Asia and the rest of the world). Inditex is one of the world's largest fashion retailers with eight store formats like Zara, Pull & Bear, Massimo Dutti and Bershka.

The company opened 483 stores in 49 markets in 2011, bringing the Group's total number of stores to 5,527. Zara will launch an online store in China during next winter season. As for full-year 2012, Inditex plans to increase its total number of stores by between 480 and 520 new establishments.
