Boosted by growing sales, the Lifestyle chain, owned by the Dubai-based Landmark Group,

is going looking at opening stores occupying a wider area. These will be about 20 per cent bigger than the existing stores, which are 20,000 to 60,000 sq ft. Lifestyle is a chain of large-format department stores, bringing together five concepts under one roof – apparel, footwear, children’s wear and toys, furniture and home furnishings and personal grooming.

Lifestyle entered India in 1999 and in a little over a decade has come to be recognized as one of the leading retail companies in the country. Positioned as a trendy, colorful and vibrant store, Lifestyle offers consumers ease of shopping and enjoyable shopping experience. It has an outstanding product mix. The fast moving categories are shirts, T-shirts, woven tops and kurtis for women. The group is looking to increase the number of Lifestyle stores to 45 in the next two years from 28 currently. The Landmark Group, founded in 1973 with a single store in Bahrain, has grown into one of the largest retail conglomerates in the Middle East.
