Uniqlo September same-store sales rise 4.4 percent

REPORT_ Uniqlo stores in Japan reported that its
same-store sales increased by 4.4 percent year-on-year in September 2013, while sales at its own stores increased by 8.1 percent. Its total sales including online sales increased by 7.5 percent.The rise in sales has been attributed to the cooler weather from mid-month boosting sales of its silk, cashmere and other Fall/Winter ranges. The Company opened eight new Uniqlo stores in Japan and closed seven stores.
On the year-on-year basis, same store sale rose 104.4 percent, whereas sales at its own stores increased 108.1 percent. Total sales including online sales increased 107.5 percent on year-on-year basis.
