Popular brand, Duke, has introduced thermal wear in special soft fabric this winter. A perfect combination of style and fabric, the product has climate control properties that help in keeping the body warm ensuring 100 percent comfort to

the wearer. Duke thermals are Lycra ribbed for luxurious comfort and perfect fit.

Thermals for warming up winters

As Kuntal Raj Jain, Director, Duke Fashions says, “Our target audience is today’s youth who is looking for a trendy and stylish range that is in sync with international designs, fashions and quality. Duke is a value for money brand and our mission is to make the international designs and styles available at highly reasonable prices. Our winter collection is also based on the same philosophy”.

Dukes
new thermal wear range is uniquely light weight and gives a comfortable feeling. Available in four colours including: white, gray, charcoal and black, it comes in all sizes for men, women, boys, kids and toddlers. A special addition of black blouse thermal for ladies is also on offer.

The product’s Unique Quilted Thermal Insulation Technology (QTIT) with special hollow fibre helps in retaining body temperature and keeps the wearer warm even in freezing conditions. Further Polyfill is sandwiched between two layers of cotton which helps in trapping body heat and prevents draft of cold air from penetrating the fabric resulting in warmth that even woolen thermal cannot provide. With more focus on styling and features like QTIT technology among others, youth are also looking at more stylish and fashionable.

Jain says in India the thermal category is growing at 30 percent per annum. The advent of big international brands has made it competitive. “Duke caters to the mid premium segment and India being a mass consumption oriented country the scope is huge.”

Plans for next season

For Spring/Summer 2014, Duke is focusing on neon collections. The collection has bright colours inspired by European fashion and is contemporary with more focus on bold fashion.

Duke has a complete vertically integrated garments manufacturing plant, with knitting, dyeing, processing, finishing, mercerizing, compacting, embroidery and printing under one roof with production facilities in India. Stringent quality control mechanisms punctuate the entire operations and make certain that the final products enjoy true value for money status and first choice of customers in India and abroad as well. The company strives to be a good corporate citizen with several path-breaking eco-friendly initiatives to minimize pollution, e.g. waste water treatments, use of nature and eco-friendly materials such as dyes and chemicals, and recycling of polyester yarns. The goal, simply stated is to ensure a ‘green, unpolluted environment’.
