The Gitanjali Group, a leading conglomerate of jewelry, watches and lifestyle products has

appointed Dino Morea, leading actor and former model as its brand ambassador. He and popular model Tarina Patel recently inaugurated Bezel -- the first in the new chain of lifestyle watch stores that will be opened by Gitanjali Lifestyle across the country – at Atria Mall, Worli in Mumbai.

The 900 sq. ft. store, with its Italian style décor is a multi-brand lifestyle watch store that will house designer watch brands such as Morellato, Chronotech, Nina Ricci, Just Cavalli, Miss Sixty, Roberto Cavalli, Just Cavalli, Marvin and Sector amongst others with prices ranging from Rs 8,000 to 25,000. Over the next five years, Gitanjali Lifestyle will aim at opening 60 stores across smaller cities like Indore, Raipur, and Guwahati besides the metros.

The company is currently raising Rs 2-2.5billion for its expansion plans, a lot of which will be through internal accruals. The Bezel chain of luxury watch stores epitomizes a combination of technical precision and high fashion where stocking watches are part of the same emotional and aesthetic level as high fashion jewelry.

The Gitanjali Group was founded as a single company cutting and polishing diamonds for the jewelry trade at Surat, Gujarat, in 1966. It has now become a pioneer among major diamond and jewelry houses, besides its watches, lifestyle products and other brands. Having won over 50 awards from the ministry of commerce, India for outstanding exports of diamond and jewelry, today it is over $1000 million multinational group, and a publicly listed entity. The group’s operations span the globe including countries such as the US, UK, Belgium, Italy, Middle East, Thailand, South East Asia, China, and Japan.
