Denim brand Numero Uno, as a part of its retail expansion plans, would be opening 35

exclusive brand outlets (EBOs) by the end of this fiscal. The company also plans to add 100 new multi-brand outlets (MBOs) to its network as it aims to establish presence in the South and East Indian markets, apart from venturing into e-retailing.

The company has a network of 190 EBOs and over 700 MBOs with a turnover of over Rs 150 crores and enjoys 10 per cent market share of the denim market. While it plans to launch its own online web platform, it already has a tie up with various channel partners such as Flipkart, Jabong, Snapdeal and Myntra.

Narinder Singh, Managing Director of Numero Uno Clothing is the leading force behind the brand. The company started by setting up a small manufacturing unit and today owns state-of-the-art units in Gurgaon, Dehradun and Manesar. Numero Uno started by manufacturing jeans for men and slowly moved into jeans for women, eventually designing and manufacturing complete wardrobes for men and women. A knitting plant was set up for the production of shirts and sweaters a few years ago for both men and women.
