Rupa to unveil Macro Woman range this year

Rupa, the household name in hosiery continues to work on its mission of offering different products to various consumer segments. The company now plans to unveil its ‘Macro Woman’, an extension of the ‘Macro Man’ premium series this year.

It would cater to the women between 15 to 40 years. Talking about the brand’s success, P R Agarwala, Chairman says, “The company’s investments on account of advertisement in all forms of media, campaigns and celebrity endorsement have paid-off. As a result the brands are omnipresent in the market and consumer mind-space.”

The brands of the company such as Frontline, Jon, Macroman M Series, Thermocot, Frontline, Softline, Bumchums, Jon, Euro, Ribline, Air Vest among others are known across the country and boast of unique product features and design. The manufacturing facilities of the company are equipped with state-of-the-art machinery backed by a sophisticated in-house laboratory and R & D facilities.

Rupa & Co was incorporated in 1985 in Kolkata as an innerwear and hosiery manufacturer. In men’s innerwear the brand has vests, briefs and drawers and its collection for women consists of bras, panties and camisoles, lounge wear and leggings. Immogi is a premium line for children up to 14 years. Rupa’s range is present in 17 EBOs, four store locations of large formats and almost a lakh of MBOs pan India.

Over the years, the brand has got many awards and recognitions in its kitty. For example, it was awarded ‘Brand Leadership Award in Fashion & Lifestyle (Knitted Garments)’ at the World Brand Congress 2010. It was judged as the ‘Most Popular Innerwear Brand’ in 2011 by Asia Retail Congress. What’s more, the brand has figured in the Limca Book of Records for the eighth time as the largest inner wear and casual wear manufacturing company in India.
