Clothing League, a sister concern of Indian Yarn has announced plans to add around 175 retail stores by the end of year 2012-13 including two EBOs in New Delhi and Ambala. Currently, the kids’ wear brand operates exclusive outlets in Chandigarh and Ludhiana in Punjab and has its presence in 120 retail outlets across the country including Shoppers Stop, Reliance Trends and Maya (Gitanjali Group).

Claiming to be the first apparel brand for pre-teen children between the age group 6-12 years, Managing Director of Indian Clothing League, Manu Indrayan said that 612 Ivy League is different from other kids’ wear brands as it focuses specifically on the pre-teen age group of 6-12 years unlike most of the other brands which cater to the 2-14 year age group without any differentiation between 2-6 years and 6-14 years.

Adding further Indrayan said that in India, the kids’ wear segment is worth Rs 30,000 crores, including the school uniform segment. And, there has been an increasing demand for branded apparel including branded kids’ wear since organized retail is growing. Hence, in order to tap this opportunity, the company has decided to spread its wings across the country.
