Aarvee Denims Q2 net profit surges to Rs 17.29 cr

Aarvee Denims and Exports has reported almost five-fold

surge in its net profit at Rs 17.29 crores for the second quarter ended September 2012. This has happened on the back of higher sales and lower raw material cost. The textile company had a profit of Rs 3.75 crore in the year ago quarter.

The company’s net sales grew by 26 per cent on year-on-year at Rs 206 crores, while cost of raw materials declined by around 3 per cent at Rs 110 crores during the recently concluded quarter. Meanwhile, due to a cut in denim production in China and the US, Aarvee Denims and Exports along with other denim exporters has witnessed its exports grow by about 10-12 per cent.
