Aashni Shah to showcase Indian designs at Kensington Palace

Mumbai born Aashni Shah has opened the first multi-designer premium Indian

high fashion store Aashni + Co at Notting Hill in the UK. Introducing luxury Indian fashion to the UK, 28-year-old Shah stocks designs by names like Anamika Khanna, Manish Malhotra, Tarun Tahiliani, Manish Arora and Sabyasachi.

Since its opening in 2012, Aashni + Co has been able to establish itself as a one stop shop for luxury Indian fashion. Now the brand has got an invitation to exhibit at the Kensington Palace, an iconic landmark that has played home to members of the British Royal family since the 17th century. As the only Indian store to be invited to showcase alongside seven other acclaimed designers from Pakistan, it has chosen Kolkata-based Anamika Khanna to pave way for a unique spotlight on Indian fashion.

It may be recalled that Australian singer Dannii Minogue had picked up Amit Aggarwal’s silk chiffon dress moulded with fine hand cut faux metal gold strips to wear on the cover of her new album ‘This is It: The Very Best Of’ last year, which was retailing at Aashni+Co.
