After a decade’s successful journey in India and internationally,

designer Abdul Halder would showcase his collection at the Blenders Pride Bangalore Fashion Week for the third time. In these 10 years, he has celebrated achievements like showcasing his work at the United Nations headquarters and being awarded by the Australian government for promoting Indian Culture and Tourism.

Halder is known for his expertise in contemporary Indian fashion that includes western wear, Indian ethnic and wedding wear, for both men and women. He feels that Bangalore is the fashion capital of India because it keeps pace with the latest trends. So he participates in the Bangalore show where people understand and appreciate his work.

Commenting on the rich fashion legacy of India, he says that India is known for rich textiles and handicrafts and it’s amazing to see how various fashion weeks bring this art together. While favouring the idea of having many fashion weeks to nurture budding talent, he also says that creating a name and holding on to it is not a cakewalk.
