Collaborating with Benaras-based sari brand Ekaya, designers

David Abraham & Rakesh Thakore have worked on changing the way it is draped. They have created a totally different avatar of the six yard with patchwork or different patterns used to identify various parts.

The traditional attire has been stylised into a kimono-inspired drape and as a Balinese sarong drape with inspiration from East-Asian influences. The new designs by the duo are available at Ekaya stores in India apart from the new Abraham & Thakore space in Delhi’s Defence Colony.

After shutting their flagship outlet at the DLF Emporio Mall, the designer-duo recently opened a new store at MoonRiver in New Delhi. Launched two decades back as a loungewear and home brand at The Conran Shop in London, Abraham & Thakore (A&T) label has come a long way. The product range at MoonRiver by A&T for ready-to-wear starts from Rs 2,500 onwards, saris from Rs 7,000 onwards and home collection range is from Rs 500 onwards.
