Abraham & Thakore’s unveiled their S/S 2012 collection in brighter

summer hues. It’s a stark diversion from their monochrome regulars. The fine cottons and silks, with keen sense of detailing rule the shelves of their boutique. India inspired elements find their way through the western collection. The designer duo finds cotton as one of the most versatile fabrics and they love experimenting with the textures the fabric can exhibit. Making use of soft cotton, and influenced from the traditional weaves of Bengal, Orissa, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Gujarat, Abraham & Thakore create a collection that their clients love to adorn.

Abraham and Thakore are known globally for their fashion and accessories in addition to textile products for the home. Creative director David Abraham is focused on reinventing the label each season to keep it contemporary, directional and relevant both in India and overseas. And Director Rakesh Thakore is focused on the design and development of hand-woven fabrics. NIFT alumni Kevil Nigli joined them at a later stage as Director of Sales and tapped into their commercial potential.

Their first store opened in Delhi in 2002 followed by second at the Courtyard in Mumbai and the third in Bangalore on Vittal Malaya Road in 2005, the latest to store has come up at the Emporio in Delhi.
