Abu-Sandeep and Asim Jofa to be honoured at the IAFA

This year the International Asian Fashion Awards (IAFA)

team and founders will be honouring the inimitable and pioneering designer duo, Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla with the ‘Outstanding Contribution to the Fashion Industry’. The Mumbai based couture house Abu Sandeep has created some of the most visually striking and luxurious pieces, exploring and revolutionizing indigenous Indian based handicrafts, for a luxury feel. The design house and designers have continually pushed the boundaries of couture, creative design, textile and art.

Del Ghosal explains, “The Abu Sandeep brand is synonymous with incredible focus, detail and a design eye that is revolutionary. They have inspired an entire generation of designers, which in turn challenges young minds, industry and moves the fashion world forward. We look to honour them and their work as a testament to design and the industry as a whole and are wholeheartedly thrilled that they are accepting the award”.

The IAFA team are also excited to announce that the award for the ‘Best Designer Brand’ is being presented to Pakistani fashion house and designer Asim Jofa. The jewellery designer turned couture designer Asim Jofa, will be showcasing his latest collection exclusively at the IAFA. Neeru Bhandari comments “We have taken elements such as design, growth in business, innovation and brand appeal and feel that the Asim Jofa brand has really emerged as a clear winner for this year. We also very excited as Asim will also be at the show with a special catwalk presenting his latest collection”.
