Ahmedabad to host 23rd National Garment Fair

Ahmedabad is ready to host one of India’s largest garments fair, the 23rd edition National Garment

Fair 2014 from June 26 to 28. A large number of apparel brands and retailers will be showcasing their latest garments and accessories during these three days. Around 350 exhibitors, mostly small and medium enterprises are participating in the show.

Around 35,000 visitors are expected and nearly 1,000 plus brands will be represented on the three days. Exhibitors will include manufacturers and exporters of all categories like casual, formal, party wear, jeans, men's wear, women's wear, kids’ wear and accessories. Also manufacturers, distributors, traders, dealers, retailers from garment, franchisees, conventional garment shops, agents etc, are expected to visit the fair.

The textile industry has played a pivotal role in the industrial and economic growth of Gujarat. The event is organized by the Gujarat Garment Manufacturers Association. This is an alliance of garment manufacturers, who are working toward making Gujarat one of the most sought after destinations for readymade garment industry in India. Chief Minister of Gujarat Anandi Ben Patel is expected to inaugurate the event accompanied by finance minister Saurabh Patel and mayor Meenakshi Patel.
