Amit GT to present at Saatchi

For three days in August 7, designer Amit GT will present his spring/summer 2012 line at

Saatchi Gallery, London. It is an arts-meets-fashion event for trend defining designers and luxury brands. The designer will exhibit prints that are inspired by exotic flora and fauna and there are hand-painted prints and abstracts. He aims to create an eclectic wardrobe that has a sense of escapism. Showing with him at Saatchi will be design icons like Vivienne Westwood, and brands like Kenzo, Pucci, Valentino and Givenchy. The Saatchi Gallery presents work by artists who have rarely or never exhibited in the UK.

Known for his elaborate gowns and dresses, Amit GT has designed for Katrina Kaif, Deepika Padukone and Kareena Kapoor. Socialites sing his praises. He has a signature style of draping, scrunching and pleating with innovative feather-like textures in the couture line. In January 2003, he launched his own men’s pret label called ‘Senses’ by Amit GT. He rechristened the label as Amit GT, which is one umbrella for all his prêt, diffusion and couture lines for men and women. He then forayed into women’s evening wear, cruise wear and resort wear.
