Arihant: Chennai’s store for new borns

Arihant Retail, formerly known as Surana Fashions,

a Surana Textiles Group’s company, one of the oldest trading houses in Chennai, has opened an exclusive store for new born babies and infants. The 2000 sq. ft. showroom, shop is designed to cater to new born babies, infants and their moms. The shop marks the strategy the company has undertaken to cover all age segments in Chennai. The Surana Textiles Group, a household name in Chennai celebrated its Golden Jubilee last year. As a part of its organic growth in the largest city in south India, the Group has been aggressively expanding its retail business by promoting the Arihant Family Clothing Shop.

Having opened exclusive retail outlets for women and children, Arihant recently opened ‘Hot Male’, an elite exclusive shop for men at Washermenpet in North Chennai. Their target: the growing number of affluent men in the city who need a one stop shop for their clothing and accessories. In fact, Surana Textiles is part of the history of the growth of North Chennai as the hub of textiles based-businesses. With a history of 40 years and more, ST has been into wholesale textile business and later diversified into other business entities.
