By the end of next year, Arvind Mills plans to set up new

manufacturing facilities outside Gujarat. The new units will be set up outside their existing units at Ahmedabad and Bangalore. The plan is to bring people from various regions and set up a dormitory type of model to expand its existing manufacturing capacity.

Even on the export front, the company is exploring markets beyond the traditional destinations of US and Europe. The focus regions include new markets in the Middle East, Brazil and Argentina apart from increasing exports to China where it as of now exports through Bangladesh.

The company is targeting to become a billion-dollar turnover entity in the readymade textile segment by 2018. While witnessing a steady growth of 10-12 percent every year and more than 30 percent of revenue coming from the readymade segment, the group is buoyant about growth targets. Recently, the company also announced its plans to increase its flagship outlets ‘Arvind Store’ to 400 from the existing 100 in next five years.
