ASFT: Industry brass interact with future fashion professionals

Amity School of Fashion Technology (ASFT)

recently conducted an orientation programme for its new batch of post graduate and under graduate programmes. A galaxy of industry speakers from reputed retail chains, brands, shopping malls and designers were invited to address the students. The topic of discussion was: ‘Expectations of the Fashion Industry from Young Professionals.’

These speakers included Anurag Sharma, Senior General Manager, Genesis Colors, Anand Bhushan, Fashion Designer, Savio Nunes, Asst. VP-Operations, Lifestyle Retail, Rohit Arora, Regional Business Manager (Watches), Titan Watches, Umesh Chaudhary, Hr Head, Biglife Ritu Wears among others. The students enthusiastically interacted with the industry honchos to gain interface and first-hand knowledge about the industry. Pradeep Joshi, Director, ASFT & ASFA addressed the gathering and thanked the doyens of the industry for addressing the students and stressed the need for greater industry-academic interface thereby asking for continuous support and guidance from industry.
