ATDC's 'Hunar ki Hunkar' to be held this month

ATDC’s skills and knowledge showcase called ‘Hunar ki Hunkar’ will be held on February

20 and 21, 2014 at Apparel House, Gurgaon. The aim is to give an opportunity to students and faculty of 180 ATDC centres to establish a cohesive and integrated brand image leading to the next level of growth. By showcasing their creativities, innovative ideas they will be able to realize the market potential of the products created or ideas generated for linking to self-employment and employment.

The event will provide a platform to ATDC centres to present their activities, achievements, road-map, while sharing thoughts and ideas. The two-day event will see many activities in the 20 state-wise stalls depicting their infrastructure, courses, students in training, activities of the centre, impact on community and apparel clusters, display of students’ work et al. A few stalls will be allocated to sponsoring agencies/government welfare organizations like NSFDC/NBSFDC/NSKFDC and other organizations with CSR initiatives. There will also be individual booths of ATDC-Juki Tech Innovation Centre, Learner Assessment Centre (IAM-LEC), ATDC-vocational institute, ATDC placement cell & Hunar-Se-Rozgar, IAM-Disha-AEPC assessment cell, among others.

A booklet highlighting the success stories of ATDC students established in the industry or entrepreneurs having their own manufacturing or boutiques will be published. There would also be a special section on students supported for training by NSFDC and NBCFDC. Competitions will be held on selected critical skills at zonal and final level, which will integrate with the TV series Hunar Baaz. And ATDC-Rozgar Mela will be held on both the days. A few one-minute films on success stories and two-three minute films on ATDC will be created with the help of IAMs students. In between breakout sessions like ‘Tech-Talk’ on technology, ‘Cross-Talk’ on social-economic impact of the training programmes in the apparel industry, workshops on NVCT, AICTE-NVEQF will be held with the help of experts from MOT, FICCI skills forum, industry and consultants during the event.
