Aviraté chalks out India expansion plans

After launching its first Aviraté brand outlet in India last

December, Sri Lankan company Timex group, has chalked out aggressive retail expansion strategy for India. The company is looking at increasing store count to seven by the end of this year, and to 30 by next year end. While its stores in Delhi, Bangalore and Chennai are churning out positive returns and the turnover of the brand’s India business is expected to reach $10 million (Rs 55 crores) by 2013, Aviraté ’s Sri Lanka sales are likely to touch $3.5 million (Rs 19 crores).

The group also plans to venture into Asian, Far East and Middle Eastern markets. It plans to offer brand merchandise in multi brand outlets and stores in Dubai, Hong Kong, Malaysia and Singapore.

The Aviraté range includes an extensive selection of day and evening wear, lingerie, shoes and bags. Keeping at par with global trends and styles, launching a new collection every season along with new styles weekly, Aviraté has brought a spectacular fashion experience to India.

To create and uphold international standards in all aspects of service, the brand hopes to make all the right moves in establishing itself on the world map. The label was launched in June 2010, is indicative of the sensuality of women and the name, derived from the Sanskrit word ‘Avirati’ meaning ‘sensuality.
