Babeezworld.com to open stores

E-retailing platform Olive Tree Retail, which runs Puma and Chicco’s franchise outlets in India,

is planning to open stores of its online portal. The portal babeezworld.com will now get converted into a physical retail format. Already present through 17 outlets in major cities, the company has decided to build upon the response to the phenomenal growth and expansion of its online platform by launching brand stores in cities where it already has a presence. It is also keen on spaces within large maternity and childcare chains. At present, it deals with as many as 15 babycare and mom essentials brands.

Though Olive Tree Retail has so far not taken any external funds, it is now looking for PE or VC funds to support its growth and retail expansion plans. Olive Tree Retail, which owns Babeezworld.com is a branded retail company that currently operates stores in metropolitan cities like New Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore and Kolkata. Currently the company has two broad verticals -- branded sporting goods and apparel and branded baby-care products (including children’s wear).
