Bangalore Fashion Week in July

After successful culmination of the glamorous Lakme Fashion Week and Wills Lifestyle India

Fashion Week, now its turn for Bangalore fashion to strut their stuff from July 28th to 31st. The fifth Bangalore Fashion Week’s (BFW) main objective is to create business relationships and to facilitate a dialogue between designers and trade buyers. The fashion week introduced the concept of a festive platform for Indian designers in July 2009 and for July 2011 the theme is winter festive. The theme is expected to provide increased exposure for Indian designers to buyers, media and the fashion industry both in India and abroad. Last July, BFW launched the ‘India Diamond Week’ and it received an overwhelming response from the media as well as consumers. This year also the everyday 7 pm show of BFW will be dedicated to diamonds. Top diamond jewelry designers will showcase their collections at Indian Diamond Week Season 2.

BFW has been conceived and created with a vision to showcase the Indian fashion industry to the global fashion world. The February 2011, Blenders Pride Bangalore Fashion Week saw several designers including Neeta Lulla, Satya Paul, Anju Modi, Riyaz Gangji, Swapnil Shinde and Monapali showcase their new line of collection. Chitrangada Singh walked the ramp in a fluorescent green lehenga, a traditional ensemble with a heavily embellished long skirt, top and stole. It also had international models from Paris and Ukraine walk the ramp wearing Indian outfits.
