Bhakti Shah’s festive collection unveiled

Renowned fashion designer Bhakti Shah has

launched her collection for the festive season with an emphasis on the traditional gota and zardozi embroidery embellished with handmade Austrian Swarovski crystals. Shah has rendered an exquisite range of saris, chaniya cholis, lehenga choli, Anarkali, designer churidars among others.

After unveiling her bridal collection, which got an overwhelming response, Shah will now be hosting an exclusive preview show of the latest design galore at her Signature Couture store next month. Her collection has got its own design sensibility in terms of patterns, colour combinations and embroidery work. Beautiful colors like red, maroon, brown, blue, dark orange, dark green, yellow and black are used in different combinations to make traditional saris, chaniya cholis and Anarkalis. Commenting on the range, Shah says, “My collection comprises bright and vibrant hues like coral red, fuchsia pink, yellow whites and blues with simple cuts and natural fabrics. We have worked on plenty of gota & zardozi embroideries this season. The gota embroidery hailing from Rajasthan is known for its appliqué technique with gold and silver whereas the zardozi work has evolved from the Moghul era.”
