American lifestyle brand Beverly Hills Polo Club (BHPC) introduced by Spencer’s Retail last year,
is making its brand visibility in Mumbai by opening a standalone store. The new 1,000 sq. ft. store has come up in the happening Mega Mall, Andheri West. Bollywood star and style diva Chitrangada Singh was the official ‘first shopper’ at the new store. The store has both minimum guarantee and revenue-sharing models with the mall. After assessing its profitability, Spencer’s Retail seems bullish to open at least six BHPC stores in Mumbai by end of this fiscal. As Vineet Kapila, President, Spencer’s Retail said at the launch, “It is a pleasure to launch our new store in Mumbai, the fashion hub of the country. BHPC has an unrivalled reputation for offering quality products at great prices. We are sure that the brand will make a mark for its unique and distinctive style. Our knowledgeable and professionally trained sales staff, warm and friendly ambience, quality and variety of products, differentiated merchandise offering and various value added benefits will all add to their shopping experience.”
BHPC already has its presence in the Delhi-NCR region and Punjab and is planning to continue its foray in Mumbai and other Tier-II and Tier-III cities like Pune, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Jaipur, Chandigarh and Dehradun. BHPC currently operates six standalone stores in Delhi-NCR and three stores in Punjab. The average size of a store is approximately 1,200 sq. ft. The company estimates the same-store sales growth to be in the range of 15-20 per cent.
