Bijou Kurien is Timex director

Timex has appointed Bijou Kurien as a director of the company. Kurien was

earlier Reliance Retail’s President and Chief Executive Officer. He has also been associated with corporates like Hindustan Unilever. With vast experience in the consumer products industry in India, he has worked in various capacities in retailing, sales and distribution, marketing, manufacturing, supply-chain functions of fast moving consumer goods and consumer durables. He joined Titan industries in 1987. He was instrumental in the Timex-Titan collaboration in 1992 which marked the beginning of Timex’s journey in India.

Timex Group India is a public listed company with listing on the Mumbai Stock Exchange. The company is governed by a Board of Directors one among whom is Kurien. Timex has a portfolio of 10 brands spread across mid premium to luxury like Timex, Opex, Guess, Gc, Marc Ecko, Nautica, Salvatore Ferragamo, Versace, Versus and Valentino with selling channels in more than 100 countries. The group has a design centre based out of Milano and a manufacturing base spread across various countries.
