B:Kind to increase product line

B:Kind the women’s wear brand is keen to expand its product offerings. At present it has a complete

top wear range of tees, shirts, tunics. Now it is going to add denims, jeggings, skirts and dresses in order to become a complete women’s wear brand. Vidhi Shah, Creative Director, B:Kind Clothing, avers, “The name B:Kind is very feminine and fresh. Our inspiration for the name came from a Hollywood film called B:Kind. For the forthcoming festive/winter season, our collection will be festive consisting of evening wear clothes with great fabrics and cuts.”

The brand’s designs are contemporary and are meant to convey a soothing and pleasant impression. It’s aimed at woman with a busy lifestyle and women who are independent and want to wear something that reflects their sensibilities. Shah believes that women in India are shifting towards fast fashion hence it is important to be up-to-date latest trends. At the same time the brand’s price points reflect value for money. “Initially we restricted ourselves to two seasons. However, this year we have come out with four seasons. Within the two main seasons--summer and winter--we will have two smaller collections in between both.”

Currently it is present in 120 MBOs and is planning to increase its presence to 270 MBOs by the end of this year. The brand is not present in any large format store. “We are trying to make the MBO sector stronger since there is a total vacuum in that segment. We will begin with the north and spread all over India. Then we will open our own stores by the end of the year in Mumbai and Pune.” B:Kind is available in UAE and Egypt. “We are also looking at other countries to sell the product,” concludes Shah.
