Blenders Pride Bangalore Fashion Week to kick off next week

The seventh edition of the Blenders Pride Bangalore Fashion

Week (BFW) kicks off from July 26 to July 29, 2012. The theme is Winter/Festive and the line-up of designers includes accessory designer Prabhat Kumar, Mandeep Litt, Chaitali and Biplab Giri and Shruti Dudani to big names like Swapnil Shinde and Priaa Kataria Puri on day one. Riyaz Gangji and Jattinn Kochhar on day two. Narendra Kumar Ahmed on day three, the stage will be set for designer couple, Meera and Muzaffar Ali who will be showing at the fashion week for the first time.

While the sixth edition saw a rather visible presence of international designers like Bozena Carter and Mustafa Hassanali, this time around, there’s Rakhi Peethamber, London-based designer of Indian-origin. Last time, the fashion week was surrounded by a controversy with Phonographic Performance (PPL) obtaining an HC order against Dream Merchants, the organisers of the week, for not getting ‘adequate licenses’ for playing music during the fashion shows. This time, the organisers have decided to have its own music entirely created in-house, for each show.

The event is happening at Lalit Ashok this time around, the passes to the three day gala would be given away on the BFW page on Facebook.
