Boggi Milano targets 30-35 new outlets

Italian premium men’s apparel brand Boggi Milano recently

revealed its expansion plans across India. They are targeting opening between 30 and 35 stores across India by 2013. Since its entry into the Indian market two years ago, in a joint venture with the DLF Group, the Italian brand currently operates five outlets in the Delhi-NCR, one in Kolkata and the recently opened flagship store in Bangalore. The outlet expansion plan includes Mumbai, Pune, Chennai and Hyderabad. According to Anand Nair, Brand Head, Boggi Milano, the brand’s image in India has been cemented and they are now entering into a stage of fast development. On its JV with DLF Brands Nair says they have 30:70 partnership since 2008 to enter the high potential Indian menswear market.

Targeting the affluent 25 to 40 year old Indian male looking for elegant style, Boggi Milano is a super premium priced brand. Shirts start at Rs 1,990, Polos at Rs1,490 and suits at Rs 15,990. Accessories are offered from Rs. 2,490 onwards. Justifying the pricing and indicating Boggi Milano’s differentiation from other premium international brands, Nair says Boggi Milano is a brand that offers a high quality and crafted Italian products with excellent value for money for executives and young men alike. Since they believe in expressing one’s personality with distinction, therefore, they offer many choices to the customers. The idea being that each Boggi customer is unique as is his style.
