Bollywood’s Mahek Chahal turns designer

Bollywood actress and reality show participant Mahek Chahal

has launched her designer wear clothing line. Bringing the colourful hues, shapes and designs inspired by her brush with Bollywood and television, the actress has blended them in the collection. The line consists of Indian-styled ensembles in chiffon and silk with rich textures, long skirts, sequinned body hugging tops, heavily embellished single-slit dresses and frilled deep-neck kurtas in shades of pristine white, royal purple, rich turquoise and timeless black. The actress recently launched her store in Oslo, Norway.

Commenting on her store launch, Chahal writes on her blog, “This store is the culmination of three years of hard work in addition to my acting career. I have decided to go with the colour pink as our signature colour because it symbolizes my Bollywood background and is also one of my favourite colours. The store is located in downtown Oslo, Norway.”

Mahek Chahal Clothing, according to her is to make women of all shapes and sizes look and feel beautiful and glamorous. “This store is the first step to that effect and hopefully I will take this brand and open stores all over the world someday,” she adds.
