Bombay Rayon net profit up 165.10 percent in March quarter

Net profit of Bombay Rayon Fashions rose 165.10 per cent to Rs 128.20

crores in the quarter ended March 2014 as against Rs 48.36 crores during the same quarter ended March 2013. Sales declined 11.88 per cent to Rs 790.05 crores in the quarter ended March 2014 as against Rs 896.55 crores during the same quarter ended March 2013.

The annual net loss was to Rs 409.87 crores as against a net profit of Rs 188.76 crores during the previous year ended March 2013. Sales declined 9 per cent to Rs 2,907.36 crores in the year ended March 2014 as against Rs 3,194.79 crores during the previous year ended March 2013.

Bombay Rayon is a vertically integrated textile company, engaged in the manufacture of a wide range of fabrics and garments. Apart from being the largest shirt manufacturer in India, it has successfully evolved as a multi-fiber manufacturing company producing fabrics such as cotton, polyester, Tencel, Modal, Lycra, wool and various blends.
